The Troublesome Lodger

Michelin Star Chef, Simon Bonwick, is The Crown At Bray’s ‘Troublesome Lodger,’ for an indefinite residence that started on Tuesday, 1st April 2025.

Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings (other days, lunch/dinner prior appointment only) Chef Bonwick will be serving up a luxurious Set Menu at an intimate ‘shared table’ for up to 8 guests.
7.30pm arrival for 8pm Dinner.

Savannah Baker, our resident oenophile, will pair each dish with a ‘phantasmagorical’ selection of wines. The oak panelled upstairs room is now a cosy, bijou space adorned with Simon’s artwork (which you can buy)!

Chef Bonwick, has held Michelin stars and every other high-ranking accolade you can think of at one point or another, in successful establishments.

Chef Bonwick says;
“I’m now back to cooking solo at The Crown At Bray.
I am enjoying very much cooking on my own again,’ and trust me, you’ll enjoy it too.”
